IPE Beam Dimensions Chart (IPE 80 to IPE 600)
IPE beam chart from IPE 80 to IPE 600: h, b, tw, tf, r, area, weight in kg/m, moment of inertia, section modulus and radius of gyration. Labelled drawing.
For preliminary selection and comparison. Strength, buckling, lateral torsional buckling, connections and rolling tolerances are not checked. Confirm dimensions with the standard or the manufacturer, and have the final design done by a qualified engineer.

Conditions and notes
IPE 80 to IPE 600, EN 10365:2017 nominal dimensions. Ideal section including root radii, steel density 7850 kg/m³. Rolling tolerances are not applied.
- y is the strong axis, parallel to the flanges. z is the weak axis, parallel to the web.
- A = 2 b tf + (h − 2 tf) tw + (4 − π) r² and G = 7850 × A. Wel,y = 2 Iy / h, Wel,z = 2 Iz / b, i = √(I / A).
- Each value was compared with two separate manufacturer tables. The tables round or truncate the last digit, so a difference of one unit in the last digit can appear.
- The torsion constant It, the warping constant Iw and the light or heavy variants (IPE A, IPE O) are not included.
- CSV download is unavailable because the sources do not establish permission for reuse.
Dimensions are EN 10365 nominal dimensions. Area, theoretical mass and section properties are calculated from these dimensions with exact relations for the ideal section, including the four root radii between web and flanges. Rounding is applied only for display.
The second moment of area is used for deflection and buckling, the elastic modulus for elastic stress and the plastic modulus for plastic moment capacity. Weight estimates use the theoretical mass, delivered weight can differ because of rolling tolerances.
